In 2022, 150 members of the My Mountain Mover family gathered in Taguig for something we had never done before. Our VAs and support staff dressed up for a Winter Wonderland, while members of our U.S. team flew all the way to the Philippines to celebrate with them.
At the time, 150 people already felt like a crowd. Five Movers Summits later, the event has grown alongside MMM itself, bringing us from hotel ballrooms and formal galas to theme park rides, water slides, and more than a thousand people joining the celebration.
A lot has changed since that first Summit, but the reason behind it hasn’t.
2022: Where It All Started
On July 3, 2022, only two years after MMM was founded, we welcomed 150 VAs and support staff to The Blue Leaf in Taguig for the inaugural Movers Summit.
Aside from finally bringing people who usually worked remotely into the same room, we gave away more than $15,000 worth of prizes and donated another $3,000 through the Greater Heights Foundation to charities chosen by our VAs. It was our first attempt at creating an annual celebration dedicated to the people behind MMM, and it wouldn’t stay that small for long.
2023: Under the Stars in Cebu
The following year, we brought Movers Summit to Bai Hotel in Cebu. More than 300 attendees joined us for Under the Stars on June 10, doubling the turnout from the year before.
Behind the evening were nearly 200 hours of planning and nearly 70 support team members working to bring everything together. Nearly $10,000 worth of prizes were given away, including trips to Boracay and Singapore, an iPhone 14 Pro Max, a MacBook Air, and multiple cash prizes.
By its second year, Movers Summit was already becoming an MMM tradition.
2024: Celebrating a Major Milestone
On June 8, 2024, Japanese cherry blossoms filled Twin Lakes Hotel in Tagaytay for our third Movers Summit and what would become our final formal-gala edition.
That year also gave us something especially significant to celebrate: My Mountain Mover had officially grown to more than 1,000 VAs. Another $15,000 worth of prizes marked the occasion, but crossing the 1,000-VA milestone showed just how much the MMM family had grown since 150 people gathered for our first Summit only two years earlier.
2025: Reimagining Movers Summit
For our fifth anniversary, we decided to change things up. Instead of another hotel ballroom, we brought Movers Summit 2025 to Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna for an entire day of rides, activities, prizes, and celebration.
For the first time, VAs and support staff could also bring their families. More than 1,600 attendees joined us, including over 500 VAs, 120 support staff, and their loved ones from across the Philippines.
More than $20,000 worth of prizes were given away, including trips to Universal Studios Singapore and Hong Kong Disneyland, Apple products, and cash. More importantly, the new format gave Movers Summit another dimension. We could still recognize everyone’s accomplishments while giving our people and their families more freedom to simply enjoy the day together.
2026: From Theme Park Rides to Water Slides
That family-oriented format returned for our fifth Movers Summit on August 9, 2026, this time at JPark Island Resort & Waterpark in Cebu. Nearly 1,000 VAs and support staff made the trip from different parts of the Philippines.
Getting there became an adventure of its own. With roads to JPark closed for an international triathlon, we chartered private boats from Mactan Wharf to bring our VAs to the resort. Once everyone arrived, the day brought recognition, games, waterpark activities, and another huge round of prizes, including cash, Apple products, international trips, Disney Cruise tickets, and a Palawan vacation.
For 221 attendees, it was also their very first Movers Summit.
Five Summits Later
Put 2022 and 2026 side by side, and Movers Summit looks very different. What began with 150 people at a Winter Wonderland in Taguig has grown into an annual tradition that has traveled from Manila to Cebu, Tagaytay, Laguna, and back to Cebu, evolving from formal galas into experiences Movers can share with their families.
Yet the heart of the Summit has stayed remarkably familiar. Our U.S. team still makes the trip to the Philippines, coworkers who spend most of the year seeing each other through Google Meet finally get together in person, and we get to recognize the people behind another year of MMM.
Five Summits in, the celebrations may be much bigger, but they’re still about the same thing: bringing the My Mountain Mover family together and celebrating how far we’ve come.
