MMM CEO Named to Modern Healthcare’s 2026 40 Under 40

Amanda Desuacido CEO 40 under 40

My Mountain Mover (MMM) is proud to announce that CEO Amanda Desuacido has been named a 2026 honoree of Modern Healthcare’s “40 Under 40” awards. The program recognizes rising leaders shaping the future of healthcare through measurable impact, innovation, and influence.

Amanda’s recognition is a reflection of both the mission behind the company and the measurable results it has delivered as an organization for healthcare practices across the U.S.

A Mission Rooted in Experience

Amanda’s connection to the mission behind MMM began long before she was entrusted to be the company’s CEO.

Growing up as the daughter of a nurse, Amanda watched firsthand how paperwork followed her mother home long after patient visits ended.

Moments like that left a lasting impression.

They offered an early look at the invisible workload many healthcare professionals carry beyond the exam room. Over time, Amanda came to understand that the experience she saw at home reflected a much larger challenge across the healthcare system.

That perspective continues to shape why the work of supporting healthcare teams matters so deeply to her today.

Turning Crisis Into Opportunity

When the COVID-19 accelerated staffing shortages nationwide, the strain on healthcare practices reached a breaking point. Clinics struggled to keep up with patient demand, administrative workloads continued to grow, and burnout spread across the sector.

For Amanda, the moment reinforced the urgency of a problem she had seen for years. It was also a chance to help build a better solution.

Amanda helped launch My Mountain Mover to connect doctors with HIPAA-compliant medical virtual assistants (VAs) who support critical administrative work.

These roles include:

  • Medical receptionists
  • Medical billers
  • Medical scribes
  • Back-end administrative support staff

The company’s model was designed to help practices stay operational and patient-focused without taking on the high cost and complexity of in-house hiring.

As Amanda explained in Modern Healthcare, “The beauty of hiring a virtual assistant is that you don’t need any office space for them. They already come with their own equipment. You don’t have to worry about human resources, payroll or taxes. You don’t have to spend time recruiting this person,” Desuacido said.

Measurable Impact in Healthcare

Since its launch, My Mountain Mover has grown rapidly by staying focused on one goal:

Making it easier for healthcare organizations to access reliable, compliant support while enriching the lives of the people behind the work.

Today, My Mountain Mover:

  • Supports more than 500 clinics, hospitals, and healthcare organizations
  • Employs over 1,500 medical virtual assistants in the Philippines
  • Helps clients save up to 70% in employment expenses
  • Has donated $50,000+ through its charity arm, the Greater Heights Foundation, over the past five years.

This growth reflects the increasing demand for flexible staffing solutions that reduce administrative strain while maintaining high standards for healthcare support.

What’s Next for My Mountain Mover

As Amanda often likes to say,

“We’re just getting started.”

In the coming years, she aims to expand My Mountain Mover’s VA count to 5,000, increasing the company’s ability to support more healthcare organizations at scale.

The company is also preparing to expand its services further into the dental industry, bringing the same remote support model to another field facing staffing and operational pressures.

A Recognition That Reinforces the Mission

Amanda’s inclusion in Modern Healthcare’s 2026 40 Under 40 list recognizes her leadership, vision, and long-term commitment to improving how healthcare teams are supported.

For My Mountain Mover, it reinforces what we’ve believed from the beginning: clinicians deserve better systems, stronger support, and more time to focus on patient care.

We’re proud to celebrate this milestone, and we remain focused on what matters most:

Helping healthcare teams operate better, serve patients more effectively, and thrive, because no physician should have to take paperwork home at the end of the day.
