Since the first one in 2022, the Movers Summit has brought the My Mountain Mover family together to step away from their work desks, meet the people they only talk to through Google Meet, and celebrate what everyone has accomplished together. It’s always the highlight of our year. However, getting everyone together for this year’s summit took a little more effort than usual.
On August 9, 2026, nearly 1,000 medical virtual assistants (VAs) and support staff from different parts of the Philippines gathered at JPark Island Resort & Waterpark in Cebu for the annual gathering. It marked the company’s second Summit in Cebu, preceded by the 2023 Movers Summit at Bai Hotel. But more importantly, this year’s iteration was also the second year of a newer, more family-oriented Movers Summit format, taking last year’s fun adventure at Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna to Mactan Island’s beach scene.
But before anyone could enjoy the waterpark, there was the small matter of actually getting there.
Taking the Scenic Route to JPark
Just a few days before August 9, we learned that JPark’s gates, along with the roads leading to them, would be closed to accommodate an international triathlon event. With nearly a thousand attendees from all over the Philippines already packing their bags and their beach fits for Cebu, cancelling wasn’t really an option. So we had to be creative in finding our way in.
With the usual route unavailable, we chartered private boat transfers that our VAs could take from a nearby wharf all the way to JPark so they could still make their way to the event and begin the seaside experience before they even set foot at the venue. However, the Philippines’ rainy season also meant that boat trips could very well be cancelled just hours before they were scheduled to depart to ensure everyone’s safety.
After months of preparation and hundreds of people making their way to Cebu, there was still a chance that Mother Nature could interfere with the plan. Fortunately, luck was on our side that day. Everyone arrived safely, and by 10 a.m, the 2026 Movers Summit was officially underway, 15 minutes early at that!
Recognizing the People Behind MMM
The morning program brought together the entire My Mountain Mover family, from the VAs and support staff to the leadership and the U.S. team. For a company whose people are continents and time zones apart from each other for most of the year, that gathering helped everyone celebrate one another in person, under one roof.
A major part of the morning was dedicated to recognizing deserving VAs for their work and contributions throughout the year. Then, of course, there were the raffle prizes, which everyone always looked forward to. And there were a lot of them.
40 lucky VAs went home with ₱5,000 each, while another four won ₱50,000 each. Other major prizes included:
- Two MacBook Neo units
- An iPhone 17 Pro
- An iMac
- A trip to Vietnam
- A trip to Taiwan
- Disney Cruise tickets
- A Palawan vacation package
- An overnight stay at a five-star hotel
But as exciting as these prizes were, the Summit wasn’t meant to be spent sitting inside Triton Hall all day. After the recognitions, celebrations, and raffle draws wrapped up, everyone headed out for the second half of the event.
From Triton Hall to the Waterpark
By lunchtime, everyone made their way to a buffet lunch provided by My Mountain Mover and fueled up, because in just a couple of hours, the waterpark became theirs to explore.
The support team gathered all over JPark to facilitate fun games and activities, including Catch of the Deep, Coral Reef Stack, Save the Pufferfish, Creature of the Deep, Waves of Content, and Seas the Bingo, all of which gave the VAs an opportunity to win even more prizes. Others simply spent the rest of the afternoon swimming and riding the water slides, spending time with their families and fellow VAs.
That freedom to enjoy the day was part of what made the newer Summit format different.
The formal galas of previous years gave MMM an opportunity to recognize its people and celebrate company milestones. The family-oriented format introduced in 2025 kept that recognition while making more room for something equally important: giving Movers an opportunity to simply have fun together.
For the 221 first-time attendees, it was also their first chance to experience what the annual gathering is all about.
Nearly 1,000 Movers Made It Happen
Every Movers Summit takes nearly half a year of planning, and this year’s iteration came with a few challenges that nobody could have fully planned for, both in logistics and in nature as a whole. Yet, the My Mountain Mover family still made their way to JPark from different parts of the Philippines.
After everything it took to bring nearly 1,000 Movers together in Cebu, seeing everyone safe, celebrating, and having a great time made finally reaching JPark that much more meaningful.
We keep saying it year after year. But this, by far, is our BEST Movers Summit yet.
