Supporting Camotes Island Community

How MMM Provided Aid to Camotes Island Community

When it comes to making a difference, real impact starts at the community level. At My Mountain Mover, we don’t just talk about enriching the lives of thousands – we actually show up, take action, and follow through!

On March 15, 2025, we launched our first outreach initiative of the year in partnership through our charity arm – Greater Heights Foundation – and in partnership with JCI Cebu, delivering meaningful support to the residents of Brgy. Villahermosa, Tudela in Camotes Island, Cebu.

This island may be known for its pristine beaches and warm hospitality, but beyond the coastline, we saw an opportunity to serve. Our team focused on what matters most: helping underserved communities access healthcare, resources, and hope.

What Happened at the Community Impact Event

This outreach wasn’t just a one-day affair – it was a coordinated, multi-part effort aimed at creating a long-term impact. Together with local partners and medical volunteers, we provided:

  • 200 hygiene kits and grocery packages distributed to local families
  • A full renovation of the Barangay Villahermosa Health Center, improving access to basic healthcare
  • Free medical check-ups and consultations for 150 patients, led by licensed volunteer doctors
  • Talent workshop for 50 children
  • More than 60 volunteers, including My Mountain Mover staff, healthcare workers, and local leaders
  • About $4,000 worth of donated items, services, and infrastructure improvements

These weren’t just handouts – they were stepping stones. Every initiative was designed to empower the community with dignity and sustainability.

Why This Outreach Matters to Us

At My Mountain Mover, we are committed to not only being a top-tier provider of medical virtual assistant services but to also be a company that gives back.

According to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, there are about 3 million families that fall under the country’s poverty incidence. While we know we can’t reach them all at once, our Greater Heights Foundation is proud to be making a meaningful difference – one community at a time.

“Because we are a company founded on faith, we knew from day one that we wanted to find an impactful way to give back to our incredible virtual assistants and the Filipino people,” says Rebecca Ketcham-Hannah, our Managing Director for Marketing and Events.

We believe that real industry leadership isn’t measured by profit – it’s defined by purpose, service, and social responsibility. “Since launching, we’ve been able to provide ventilators for hospitals, sewing machines for prisoners, sanitation kits for children, and meals for nurses,” she adds.

What’s Next for My Mountain Mover’s Outreach Efforts

This event and the ones before it are just the tip of the iceberg. We have more initiatives lined up throughout the year, each designed to target real needs; from medical support and livelihood programs to educational drives and disaster response.

As we continue our mission to support underserved communities across the Philippines, we’re committed to scaling our impact with compassion, strategy, and collaboration. If you’re a client, a partner, or simply someone looking to support meaningful work, know this –

When you work with My Mountain Mover, you’re investing in more than virtual support. You’re joining a movement rooted in purpose.
